This project was developed for Basf, a global leader in chemical manufacturing and material science. The objective was to create a high performance laboratory that supported advanced formulation work, research activities, and quality control processes. Norlab was selected to deliver a fully customized solution including design, fabrication, and installation that aligned with Basf’s strict standards for safety, precision, and operational efficiency.
Basf needed a laboratory built to withstand demanding chemical processes while maintaining strong safety controls and environmental protection. The existing space required a complete redesign to improve workflow, durability, and ventilation while meeting rigorous corporate and regulatory expectations. The solution also needed to integrate smoothly within an active industrial facility without disrupting ongoing operations.
Norlab collaborated closely with Basf’s engineering and laboratory teams to understand their operational needs and compliance requirements. We designed a layout that improved movement between work areas and enhanced safety through strategic placement of fume extraction systems and chemical resistant surfaces. All furniture and benching were manufactured using high grade materials built for durability and long term performance.
The completed laboratory now provides Basf with a modern, efficient, and highly resilient environment that supports advanced research and testing. The new design enhances productivity, safety, and long term reliability under continuous chemical use. The project demonstrates Norlab’s ability to deliver specialized laboratory solutions for complex industrial settings, offering spaces engineered for innovation, safety, and lasting performance.
