• The Challenge
One of the main challenges of the lima university laboratory project was designing a space capable of handling continuous student activity while maintaining safety, durability, and efficient organization. The workstations were built with phenolic countertops, providing chemical resistant surfaces suitable for student use and laboratory experiments. phenolic cabinets was incorporated to ensure long term durability and organized storage, while fume hoods were integrated to provide proper ventilation and safe handling of substances. Additionally, deck-mount eyewash units were included to enhance safety and ensure immediate response capability.
